They are closing April 15th to renovate. They told us they hope to open by June. They will not be doing dinner when they reopen. They will be doing breakfast and lunch. But will offer tske home meals and a bakery counter.
Yes !! They have the freshest and tastiest in the area. Always hand breaded and cooked when you order, none of that frozen stuff. I have never had Haddock to compare, light breading and enormous portions.

Great food, fantastic staff
Food and portions were not worth the money. Meat was undercooked and found hair on/in the fish. Overall was a very bad experience and would not recommend
We had a gift certificate from our wonderful neighbors from last year that I had forgotten about and recently found. We decided to take a ride yesterday for lunch with one of our friends and enjoy the beautiful winter wonderland. Our server was most pleasant and the meal was delicious. Enough reason to visit again. Today we'll have leftovers!
Olde Mill Diner is one of our favorite places to eat. Food is the real.homemade deal...always delicious, generous servings and friendly efficient staff. So happy they reopened.
Good food, decent price, friendly wait staff.
Intimate little dinner. Great food. Excellent portions. Owner is on duty to make sure everything is great!! 2 side rooms for the family gathering. Excellent wait persons!!
Great food. Super friendly staff. Very comfortable and relaxed. BLT on gf e-muffin and fries. Chili with cornbread. The cornbread was tall and dense. I did not have any but was told it was lightly sweet, moist and very delicious. The blt was great. Definitely stop in. prices are very good with great portions served with a smile. Great food prepared with care.
Good food!
The food is amazing ! I drive from Connecticut to have the Haddock, which I've never found to be better anywhere else. Also if you like deep fried mushrooms they are a must have ! Lightly battered, moist and the portions are huge. I truly have never been disappointed by any of the meals which are all home cooked and generous portioned. Oh and don't forget the desserts, you may have to take it to go but you'll thank yourself later.
Great food. Waitresses are friendly and prices are fair
Great food at a decent price. Had a great cup of seafood chowder. My wife had chicken stew with a large piece of corn bread.
Delicious food great prices and friendly service
DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. The treatment of employees is absolutely terrible. No one should have to work in an environment as hostile as the manager makes it. There are plenty of amazing places to spend your money where you will find amazing staff, food and service. If you are loooking for a good breakfast place , head to Bell the Cat, Chase's Daily or Darby's Restaurant , you will not leave disappointed. Support the locals whose values make Belfast the beautiful place that it is.
Great food and great service!
Great food, adorable clean multi room homey ambiance. Affordable soup and sandwich deal.
Breakfast was really good. Nice place
Service was exceptional. The chicken tenders were great.
I will definitely be back! Food tasted home made and the service was great. Large portions and very reasonably priced.
CLOSED UNTIL JUNE 1ST. Would have been nice to know this in advance before we showed up hungry.
Very good home made food..not much space and got a chill there..o well
Always friendly and helpful. Service is excellent, food always fresh and delicious. If you like a small town country atmosphere, you'll love it here.
Wonderful home cooking. Wonderful meals like mom used to cook and save room for the AWESOME pies!
Nice and clean with good food
I enjoyed my Rueben today for lunch. My waitress, Elle, was excellent !!I will come back again. Please, stop by . You'll enjoy your meal and the excellent service!!!
Great home style cooking, friendly service & a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Love the different daily specials, most recently had an awesome prime rib quesadilla!
Love The Ol'Mill!! The Best Breakfast place around!! The Girls are all friendly and the home made yeast rolls and pies/cakes are just like my gram made!!
Friendly service and good food! The only thing that I didn't love was the chowder.
I have eaten here several times and always enjoy it. Comfort food, homemade and very generous portions. Planning to take someone there soon.
Great place to eat. You get your money's worth.
Good food friendly service but nothing new for main course meals, always the same
This may be one of the hidden jewels of Maine. The Olde Mill Diner is not a traditional diner . . . more of a sit down restaurant in an old home. The restaurant is impeccably clean, wooden floors and several dining areas. The food is the real star . . . all home cooked, I would call it upscale home style and it's absolutely delicious. The prices are reasonable, considering the portions and quality. The staff is so nice and very thoughtful. I bring guests from out of state here as often as I can and it never fails to impress. We often come to the Olde Mill for special occasions and holidays. The whole family loves it. My brother-in-law turned me on to this place . . and I appreciate his advice.
I have a lot of family that live in the Belfast area and I come here every time I go home. The food has always been delicious! The portions are very large, so when ordering keep that in mind. You want macaroni and cheese? How about for the next week? The best part about this place-and I almost hesitate to tell all of Google this, is the Rasberry Pie. It really is what brings me back each time, so much so that I really only refer to the Olde Mill Diner as "the Pie Place", not because I cannot remember its name but because the pies and other desserts really are wonderful! Now, I know that I just broadcasted how good the pie is but I am going to hold all of you accountable for making sure that the hordes of pie-lovers out there will vacate the area (or at least save me a slice of pie) when I go back to Belfast the next time.
The food is good and hot, will go back for more. Servers are friendly, the owner treats them crappy when customers are around. They certainty earn their tips.
Their seafood chowder was to die for great portion size.... I must visit!!
Nothing negative. Menu vast and all delicious. Wish it was open for dinner. Try it!
Great country breakfast. Glad to see the OMD opened again.
Friendly caring service from our waitress. The owner stopped by to see how we were doing. Food was very good and plentiful. We had spinach dip, potato soup with ham and bacon, American chop suey, and fried smelts. We were too full for dessert so we took some home. The place has a simple country feel to it, very homey. We will certainly try this place again!
It was good food and friendly service.
Food was delicious, service was great!
Food is delicious and service is good. Only complaint is often are sold out of what I order.
I've spent 8 years in the culinary arts world, they've got a really good crew behind the line.
Always worth the stop on pur way to and from NH. The carrot cake is a must.
Amazing! Great for kids.
This place looks like a pretty little white house in the middle of nowhere but it has a sign that it's a diner. So my companion and I decided to try it. There's a lovely perennial garden to your left as you walk up to the entrance. Inside it's cozy and inviting and the hostess/waitress was very friendly. On to the food. It was excellent. I had baked haddock and scallops topped with crumbled Ritz crackers. It was moist, tender and tasty. Especially the scallops. I'm always impressed when the scallops are good because that's pretty rare even here in Maine. My partner had the fried haddock and exclaimed it excellent. This is the first, small, out of the way restaurant that I've been to that I can't wait to try again next time I'm in town. I highly recommend it.
Great food.
Food was absolutely amazing. The staff was great as well.
There is a difference between home cooked food and fast food. Come, enjoy your coffee and wait for some of the best blueberry pancakes you will ever have in your life!! Great place to go...
I've been here several times before. I've had some really good food and service most often. I had a haddock sandwich that was just fish on a buttered bun, had to ask for tartar sauce, the fish though was fried to perfection. My wife had a Reuben, the sauerkraut had an off taste compared to what it normally is. Fried mushrooms & Jalapeno potato tots we're good. Haddock chowder had plenty of substance but lacked seasoning...all in all, people have different tastes for different things, their menu has many very good options, you should be able to find what you like. 🤗
The atmosphere is cozy & warm. We just stopped in for dessert. As you can see their strawberry short cake is huge!! I'm told it is all home cooking & delicious!
Great home style food. Huge portions. Dessert is yummy
